Mercer Names Hong Kong CEO For Private Client Services

has appointed insurance industry veteran Christina Wong as CEO for its Private Client Services business. Based in Hong Kong and reporting to PCS group CEO Joseph Low, Wong will lead a sales team responsible for landing new partnerships and strengthening existing private banking partnerships across North Asia, the group said. As part of her remit, she is expected to focus on tailoring global risk solutions for high net worth clients. Mercer's PCS business, formerly known as Jardine Lloyd Thompson PCS, specialises in insurance broking and customised wealth and legacy planning for HNWs. Wong (pictured) has spent 20 years in the insurance and banking sector, most recently as head of third party and private banking distribution at HSBC Life, where she grew the high net worth client segment and wealth services across the HSBC Group. Before that, she served in similar leadership roles at Transamerica Life Bermuda, MetLife and Zurich International Life. “ Christina now on board will allow us to capture the strong demand amongst high net worth clients for greater insurance protection and wealth transference,” Low said.
